Single Tree Hill – EL6081
Overview
EL6081 is located approximately 70 km north of Goulburn and covers the old workings of the Single Tree Hill base metals and silver project.
This Exploration Licence area is underlain by Late Silurian and Early Devonian sediments and volcanics of the Lachlan Fold Belt which are part of same group of rocks that host the Peelwood deposits.
Previous Exploration
Within the Exploration Licence No. 6081 one area of old workings is known and the Single Tree Hill Prospect appears to have been worked for predominantly zinc and lead. The time frames and the production rates of the area are unknown. Two holes were drilled by a previous explorer into the Single Tree Hill Prospect in 2006. Significant intercepts for Hole RCS2 were:
- 10 metres of 0.13% Cu, 0.78% Pb and 1.70% Zn from 28 to 38 meters.
- 1 metre of 2.72% Zn from 42 to 43 metres
- 1 metre of 1.28% zinc from 45 to 46 metres.
